The District Education Officer of Raipur and the Education Department of the state believe that to become the Principal of a private Higher Secondary School, 5 years of experience of teaching in High Secondary Schools is necessary. Also, B.Ed and post graduation in certain subjects should be done. According to the information given under the Right to Information Act 2005, the Principal of Salem English Higher Secondary School in Raipur, who is the wife of an official of CNI and the same institution also runs the school, has 3 years of experience and her educational qualification is B.Tech, M.Tech. Despite this, the Education Department does not take action.
It is also surprising that Chhattisgarh Education Board Raipur, which is their allotment authority. There is also a technical problem in it. According to WPCIL 71/2016, the school is run by Jabalpur Diocese Education Board Jabalpur. This PIL also states that Chhattisgarh Education Board Raipur was actually under Jabalpur Diocese and Chhattisgarh Diocese was actually under the Bishop of Nagpur Education Board Nagpur till 31 July 2023. Whereas the appointment order of the Principal of Salem School was issued with the signature of Bishop Jabalpur Diocese and he did not have the authority to issue it. The Principal of Salem School was sometimes presented as Vice Principal and sometimes as Active Principal. There is a different story of the name change of Salem School. On which a separate news is made. By changing the name of this school arbitrarily on the lines of a shop, the future of thousands of students has been put in danger. It seems that there is a great lack of transparency in the educational institutions of this society and the diocese that runs them. Even after years, the ministries in the government are not able to understand who the real officer is.
